Dr. S.K.Laha was a Principal Scientist (Nematology) at the ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres (CRIJAF) in Barrackpore, West Bengal. He was dedicated to the improvement and sustainability of jute and allied fiber crops. Dr. Laha’s work contributes to CRIJAF’s broader mission of developing high-yield, nematode disease-resistant varieties of jute, mesta, flax, and other fiber crops, which are essential for India’s fiber industry
